First of all, I am sooo excited for a dear friend who has a lovely newborn! She (and her hubby) will make A-M-A-Z-I-N-G parents!! There is no one who has a bigger heart or compassion for others! Baby Whitley is very lucky!!

This session was one of my absolute favorites! Maybe because I am lucky to call these people friends, maybe because we ate (the best) sushi afterwards, or maybe just because their home was beautiful, Baby Whitley is amazing, and the light was truly inspiring! Or maybe all of the above!!

I am in love with these photos! I cannot wait to deliver the full gallery! There are many more amazing, beautiful captures....

Baby Madison - Newborn

I am truly honored to have been chosen to take newborn photos of Baby Madison. Not only was she gorgeous and perfect in absolute every way, but, also, this family could not be more wonderful! They are truly some of the nicest, warmest, most kind people I have ever met! Big brother was also amazing! He had holding Baby Madison down pat by day 3! By the time I met the family again for more photos, big brother also had waking her up down pat as well!!

I could not be happier for this family! I am so glad that they have been graced with this gorgeous baby girl and I know she has made their hearts glad.

This family is truly amazing and inspiring and I wish I had half of the strength each and every one of them have!

"M" Family - Lifestyle Shoot!

Ahhhhh! This is one of my favorite sessions I have done yet! First of all, this family, as mentioned before on this blog, is SIMPLY AMAZING!!! They are gorgeous, nice, easy, wonderful, the list goes on and on!!! The boys are adorable and just the cutest ever! Constantly on the go like my little one as well! Makes it hard to capture them perfectly sometimes, but this lifestyle shoot did just that. Every photo is not a "perfect" photo...there are blurred hands, and some sad faces, but there is so much that is wonderful about these photos! They capture the family as is. These photos freeze time! They capture the emotions of brothers, the happiness of a loving family, the moments of parenthood that are frustrating yet exhilarating all at the same time! I read blogs and posts daily from friends, acquaintances, and strangers all saying the same things...These daily moments where you hold your breath and hope your children will behave and do what you need them to, all while having loving looks and moments and wanting to freeze time. To make even the unhappy moments stick, because as parents we realize there are only so many moments we have with them.

So, here is my attempt to freeze these moments for this family. Little "A" had just recently turned two. Big brother had his last basketball game for the season later that day. Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. And spring was quickly approaching (maybe? considering the SNOW we had fall today briefly Spring may be a bit confused!)...life is blossoming.

Little A is 2!!!

Oh my goodness! This family!!! The are amazing! Simply wonderful! So nice, so photogenic...simply great people! The littlest one has a BIG personality! Little "A" is just all boy! And then there is Big Brother and he is just the sweetest boy! He giggled the entire time of the party...so cute!!

The children ran and played the entire time! So much happiness from everyone! Capturing the pretend play was amazing! These kids were sooo creative and smart!! And Little "A" could not be torn away from the basketball hoops. This kid has a knack for "swishing" basketballs all day long!!!! First, it was the hoop in the play area. Not a challenge at all for the birthday boy! Then, it happened, the present of all presents...the big HOOP! Little A could not be torn away! I'm not sure how they managed to get it in the car but I am sure it was a challenge! His love of basketball clearly rivals my own! GO FLYERS! :)

I LOVE awesome families. I LOVE capturing special moments. And I LOVE being able to provide a service that takes a worry or stress off of an awesome family! No one had to worry about taking photos! Everyone was able to enjoy the party and playing with the kids and spending time with each other! It was a wonderful party!!

Right before Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful couple! I also have the pleasure of calling them family! When I was asked to photograph their nuptials, I didn't even hesitate. This is what I love. I loved everything about their ceremony and wedding day. It was special. It was about them and their love. It was simple. It was simply amazing and beautiful.

I am in love with these photos! I hope they love them too!

I had the pleasure of photographing a new family right before Christmas!! This makes me happy. And, well, the family = simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. So kind, lovely and they all just had a great spirit! I loved every second of capturing this family! Not only are they a beautiful family, but they have a beautiful home as well! I can only imagine the gorgeous light that streams in during the spring and summer!

I really can't say enough kind things about this family. I just feel extremely lucky to have been able to capture a few precious photos during this past holiday season! :)

Here are just a few of the amazing photos I was able to capture! I hope they love them as much as I do!!!

And even though the weather was almost perfect for the outdoor session (Huge rainstorm started right after we came inside!!), I had to have some fun with this "Holiday" shoot and throw in some snow!!! :) I LOVE snow! :)

"H" Family - august 2015

A few weeks ago, I had an amazing opportunity to photograph an adorable family! Through an awesome mutual friend, this family was recommended to me and I had a pleasure photographing their little guy who just turned ONE! :) First of all, this little guy is inquisitive as all get out! He wanted to explore everything in sight. And the faces he makes. OH.MY.GOSH. Sooo stinkin' cute! He's such a thinker! I was amazed at how relaxed he was, inquisitive, and easy-going. But all the while you could tell, he was just a thinkin' away because the faces he makes give him away! :)

I am so thankful for awesome friends who recommend other awesome families for me to photography. This is exactly what I like to do, help awesome people have awesome photos! Yes, I used awesome A TON, but there is just no other way to describe this family!! :)

And last, but not least, my favorite...Can you tell what he is thinking? This little guy was soooo fun!!! :)

"E" Family - Summer Session

Look at this family!!! They are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! So gorgeous! I cannot even pick a favorite photo from their session because they are just all sooo good!

Taking photos of families/children is probably my absolute favorite! First of all, I LOVE kiddos! But I think my true favorite part is being able to capture the awesomeness of the family. I know how much work and effort goes into these photo sessions on the family's behalf! I know it is a chore getting the kids on the right schedule to get them through a photo session! Hurrying to eat dinner because you need to leave and still get ready and of course the kids have to eat or they will be cranky! At least it is a big deal in our household! When our family does things like a family photo session, I struggle e.v.e.r.y.s.i.n.g.l.e.t.i.m.e!!!

SO, I'm sure you are asking, WHY is this my favorite part? Well, I love being able to capture the moments that come after the rush to get out the door and the planning that goes into this event. Being able to capture the smiles and the candid moments of the family is awesomesauce. AND THIS FAMILY ROCKED THEIR SESSION!!! Not only are they gorgeous, but I am happy to call them good friends as well! "E" family - I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!! xoxoxo

Beth & Andy | Dayton, Ohio Wedding | 6-6-2015

Words cannot say enough about these two! They share such an amazing story and have overcome so much! There wedding was so down-to-earth and beautiful! Every little detail was thought and planned so well!

When Beth contacted me about possibly taking their photos for the wedding I was so happy! Not only is Beth one of the sweetest and kindest people I know, but she is also a good friend of mine! Then I met with these two for engagement photos and I could tell they were so in love! Beth was so excited for the wedding and planning everything (and as I mentioned before the details were phenomenal!) BUT I simply can not imagine a groom being more excited than Andy! He had so many special surprises he was cooking up throughout the whole process! He was simply the sweetest ever!

I cannot wait to see what the future holds for Beth and Andy! They are probably some of the sweetest, most well-deserving people i have ever met. Best of luck to you in the future and I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

The Creation of Happy Snaps Photography!

I am sooo very excited!! While I have been taking photos for a while now, it has really been more of a personal hobby than anything! However, I am hoping to make the experiences I have taking photos a bit more professional! I am hoping to have the ability to photograph more than just friends and family (even though those are my most favorite subjects to photograph!).

I am in LOVE with the look of the new website! Even though I have many more improvements I want to make to it, there is a world of difference already! I hope the visitors enjoy it as much as I do!

EEEEEKKKK! This is my first BLOG post and there is now an OFFICIAL name! I never liked "Angela Keating Photography" very much at all! I think HAPPY SNAPS PHOTOGRAPHY has a much better ring to it! :)
